CT MADISON — The Advisory Committee on Community Appearance unanimously continued a special exception application for a four-unit apartment building at 397 Durham Road. Applicant David Klein must present physical samples of fiber cement siding in Benjamin Moore "Ice Marble," roofing shingles in black or gray, and trim colors for the 40-foot by 60-foot building, which would stand approximately 30 feet tall on Route 79. The committee also raised concerns about abandoned development sites and discussed erosion and restoration bonds to fund site restoration.
Staff member Maria A. Pettola noted legal limitations restrict what the town can mandate on private land.
