CT MADISON — Madison's Advisory Committee on Community Appearance voted unanimously to recommend a dark gray and brick design for an unmanned bottle and can redemption center at Stop & Shop, with removal of the wind turbine from the unit. The off-grid station, made of recycled material and powered by solar, will occupy four parking spaces at 128 Samson Rock Drive. Kelly Hovey of Clynk presented the design, which features a kiosk and bag-drop system where customers print tags inside the store and deposit bottles and cans outdoors.
The application advances to a public hearing on October 1, 2026.
