Director Austin Hall was authorized to work with artist Jamie Dietz on the project, with donations of $5 per ornament benefiting the recreation department. Members discussed the Surf Club Master Plan survey, set to close October 18, and reviewed accessibility input from a resident letter emphasizing ramps and accessible pathways.
The Commission also discussed planning a broader recreation programming and amenities survey for first quarter 2027 to avoid overlap with the Surf Club effort, while reviewing fall programming events and ongoing capital projects including gym bathroom renovation and Polson Field turf work.
