CT MADISON — Madison's Beach and Recreation Commission heard resident concerns about beach sand loss at its July 7 meeting. Resident Betsy Manning shared 1991 photographs documenting erosion and asked about replenishment timing. Staff said the proposed Surf Club Master Plan addresses beach revitalization but completion hinges on public funding and state environmental permits, with no cost estimates available.
Commission member Susan Lutz raised concerns about unpermitted watercraft and deteriorated pickleball courts. The Beach & Recreation Department will post signage and remove non-permitted items after 48 hours.
