Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee · Meeting of July 7, 2026

CT MADISON — The Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee voted unanimously to approve its master plan and recommend approval to the Board of Selectmen, with all 10 members voting yes. The committee, formed in 2018 to develop the plan, will submit the recommendation for the July 20 Board of Selectmen meeting agenda. The committee received public comments from the Conservation Commission and Mad for Trees co-founder Fran Brady requesting that environmental considerations, including tree preservation and native plantings, be incorporated into future sidewalk and pathway projects.

The committee also planned a community walk event for August, updated its strategic plan to include references to e-bikes and other modes of microtransit, and reported on spending from a $5,000 micro grant that funded a bike repair station for the Town Green.
