Board of Selectmen · Meeting of April 27, 2026

CT MADISON — Madison Board of Selectmen approved $3.7 million in capital contracts, including a $2.82 million renovation of the DHHS baseball field, with two members voting against four items conditioned on budget referendum passage. Selectman Wilson and Selectwoman Gordon objected on procedural grounds, with Wilson stating in a prepared statement that voting less than 24 hours before the polls open reverses "the flow of democratic consent." The remaining three selectmen approved the contingent contracts: a $585,435.77 police storage garage, $98,495 in police building roof repairs, and a $199,000 phase-one campus repaving. The board also unanimously authorized demolition of Ryerson School using remaining Neck River Elementary funds and approved a $152,924.14 Emergency Operations Visualization System for fire house expansion.
