Board of Selectmen · Meeting of September 2, 2026

CT MADISON — Madison Board of Selectmen voted unanimously to advance discussions on the Academy School Property through a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding with Stowed, LLC for septic feasibility testing. First Selectwoman Peggy Lyons presented steps taken since a May referendum, including an Expressions of Interest process and due diligence review. Town Attorney Kari Olsen assured the board the Town would incur no financial responsibility for testing and held no binding commitments under the MOU.

A Town Meeting is planned before any final commitment, followed by a referendum if testing shows the hospitality project feasible.
