Board of Selectmen Approves Ambulance Funding and Road Contract

Madison Board of Selectmen unanimously approved two funding and contract matters.

Board of Selectmen · Meeting of June 9, 2026

CT MADISON — Madison Board of Selectmen unanimously approved two funding and contract matters. Selectwoman Gordon and Selectmen Wilson and Goldberg backed the ambulance association's request to move $350,000 from the FY27-28 capital improvement plan to FY26-27 to accommodate extended lead times while maintaining original delivery schedule. The board also awarded a $31,313.75 contract to Safety Marking LLC for town road pavement markings and line striping, funded from Public Works Construction Services.

The board received a feasibility study on the Green Hill and Mungertown Road pedestrian and roadway project, which would connect existing sidewalk segments, install curb ramps and crosswalk striping, and improve intersection safety; the town aims to seek LOTCIP funding covering 100 percent of construction costs, with the town covering final design and construction planning costs. The board agreed to revisit a potential capital improvement priority-setting process at a future meeting to coordinate projects from multiple town initiatives.
