CT MADISON — Madison's Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee is preparing a $5,000 microgrant application due March 14 for bike helmets, bicycles, locks, and a permanent public repair station. Member Jes Joseff reported the proposal would fund two bicycles for giveaway and raffle with strong committee support. Chair John Biehn received infrastructure updates from Town Engineer Rob Russo and confirmed the Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan is complete pending final sign-off from project manager Erin.
The committee is planning Bike Bash on May 3 at Bauer Park with local partners including Rotary Club (which donated $300 for volunteer t-shirts) and Bike/Walk/Roll to School on May 20. BPAC social media operations have transitioned to town-controlled channels.
