CT MADISON — Madison's Historic District Commission voted unanimously to approve a Certificate of Appropriateness for exterior alterations at 498 Boston Post Road. The application, filed by Colleen McHugh Revocable Trust with Colleen McHugh as trustee, proposed window replacement with a door and window configuration, new siding, new steps and guardrail. The Commission, chaired by Thomas Boyle, found the work compatible with the existing historic structure and acceptable given its marginal visibility from public roads.
Vice Chair Carol Snow noted the configuration was somewhat unusual but appropriate for the historic district.
