Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee · Meeting of January 6, 2026

CT MADISON — Madison's Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee planned a May 3 bike rodeo at Bauer Park for children under 13, featuring helmet checks, bike inspections, races, and hand signal instruction with Connecticut Department of Transportation Safe Routes to School coordination. The committee also planned a May 20 Walk and Roll to School event and organized member outreach for January 12 infrastructure improvement information sessions at Town Hall. The town has mandated deactivation of the committee's independent Instagram and Facebook accounts under new policy; the town website page remains active.

Committee member John Lamirande presented a Smartsheet project tracking system, provided at no cost, to manage work plan activities.
