CT MADISON — The Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee agreed to submit a support letter for the Green Hill Road sidewalk project, which faces Historic District Commission review April 27. Jeanne Morrissey, committee chair, reported that the project has allocated funding and Board of Selectmen support but some residents oppose it over property concerns. The committee also received updates on spring events, including the Bike Bash scheduled for May 3 with a $5,000 microgrant pending, and discussed the Vision Zero Program Distinction for schools eliminating transportation fatalities; committee members agreed to revisit the nomination at their May meeting.
