Madison Facilities Committee approved three consulting payments advancing major municipal projects.
Facilities Committee (Ad Hoc) · Meeting of April 21, 2026
CT MADISON — Madison Facilities Committee approved three consulting payments advancing major municipal projects. Chair David Kadamus and the six-member committee approved $6,392.50 to Antinozzi Associates and $6,500 to TPA for consulting work (both passing 5-0-1), plus a $5,000 contract amendment from Antinozzi for a Fit Analysis (unanimously approved). Preliminary feasibility studies show the Chapel Building can accommodate the Welcome Center, Chamber, and Archives with modifications; the Jeffrey School site can fit a pool and gymnasium; and a 136-unit residential development (74 affordable, 62 market rate) could generate approximately $1 million annually in tax revenue.
Public outreach to 10 community organizations drew positive reception overall, though housing development support was mixed.
