Facilities Committee revises archives plan, recommends Jeffrey use

Madison Facilities Committee received updates on feasibility studies for multiple town buildings.

Facilities Committee (Ad Hoc) · Meeting of May 21, 2026

CT MADISON — Madison Facilities Committee received updates on feasibility studies for multiple town buildings. Chair David Kadamus presented revised analysis on Memorial Town Hall, determining the Archives cannot fit in the Chapel due to storage requirements but could occupy the Welcome Center, Chamber, or Public Museum space. Preliminary economic findings suggest $900,000 to $1 million in annual secondary impact on area merchants.

The committee recommended placing the Board of Selectmen in Jeffrey's North Wing and Madison Youth and Family Services in the Main Building. A Ryerson site concept layout shows room for four pickle ball courts, three tennis courts, and a Little League softball and baseball field.
