CT MADISON — Madison school committee approved two construction invoices totaling $159,973.75. Emily Rosenthal and Galen Cawley voted unanimously to approve $38,540 to BL Companies for construction administration and $121,433.75 to Gilbane Building Company for Polson HVAC work through February 28, 2026. Director of Construction and Planning Ben Whittaker reported that destructive testing found asbestos-containing material in an electrical room wall, requiring abatement scheduled for March 5 before interior demolition begins.
Equipment deliveries remain on track, with negotiated budget credits on steel and electrical work pending final bond-and-insurance adjustments.
