CT MADISON — Madison Bicycle Committee planned three spring community events focused on bike and pedestrian safety. Chair Jeanne Morrissey coordinated planning for Pedal Palooza on May 3 at Bauer Park, Neck River Bike Walk and Roll to School Day on May 20, and a potential Brown School event; the Connecticut Department of Transportation will provide equipment and staff for Pedal Palooza, and the committee is seeking six to eight volunteers. Committee members also discussed successful public outreach for a downtown crosswalk and sidewalk project that drew 70 to 80 residents and requested member support for a proposed Green Hill Road sidewalk project at an upcoming Board of Selectmen meeting.
