CT MADISON — Madison Economic Development Commission voted unanimously to recommend approval of the proposed Salt Meadow Farms residential development to Planning and Zoning, which Paul Cody presented as generating approximately $379,000 in annual taxes with minimal town costs through a homeowner's association and targeted marketing to downsizers. The recommendation is contingent on a decision about the 500' rule for clustered housing. The commission also voted unanimously to send a letter promoting the Academy hotel project to local newspapers prior to a town poll assessing public sentiment on that development.
