Planning & Zoning Commission · Meeting of September 17, 2026
CT MADISON — Madison PZC continued its hearing on an 18-unit residential cluster development on Mill Road to October 15, 2026. The application, filed by SWPG River Road LLC, triggered discussion of whether the site meets a zoning requirement that cluster housing be located within 500 feet of transition districts; Chair Carol Snow calculated only a small corner of the property falls within that buffer. Attorney Christopher McKeon argued prior precedent supports site eligibility.
Commissioners also questioned parking standards, density, and whether the applicant should provide deed-restricted affordable units; the applicant declined, noting the regulation's goal is housing diversity by type rather than income.
