CT MADISON — Madison Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously approved a coastal site plan at 98 Middle Beach Road. The commission voted 6-0 to approve application #26-1, allowing applicant Jonathan Kislak to replace porch footings, framing, and decking within twenty-five feet of a critical coastal resource. The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection provided comments anticipating no adverse impacts.
The approval, effective March 19, imposes three conditions: hand-excavated footings, on-site or off-site spoil management, and restoration of disturbed areas. Town Planner Erin Mannix recommended the erosion control measures. Chair Carol Snow presided with members John Dusza, Maxwell Corroon, Janet Peckinpaugh, John Morgan, and Michelle Clark present.
The commission scheduled two additional applications for public hearings on March 19.
