Planning & Zoning Commission · Meeting of April 2, 2026
CT MADISON — Madison Planning Commission approves coastal bulkhead replacement, schedules zoning code hearing. The commission unanimously approved a coastal site plan for Scott and Jane Gamber to replace a bulkhead cap and wooden groin at 67 Middle Beach Road, shortening it from 100 feet to 56 feet to improve safety and navigation. The commission voted 7-0 to schedule a May 7, 2026 public hearing on reorganized zoning regulations being migrated into an online database through General Code with no substantive changes.
Consultant Michael D'Amato said new state legislation effective July 1, 2026 will require the town to allow 2-to-9 unit residential developments in commercial zones through a "Summary Review" process, and he will present draft regulations at the May 7 meeting.
