Board of Police Commissioners · Meeting of August 11, 2026
CT MADISON — Madison police committed to addressing traffic safety requests at the Neck Road and Ridgewood Avenue intersection. Chief Jack Drumm said the department will increase patrols, seek $6,000 to $7,000 funding for speed-calming devices, and request engineering review of intersection signage, though he noted state recommendations against speed bumps due to discomfort for seniors. The Chief also reported that calls for service declined 9 percent while motor vehicle accidents rose to 94 from 78 year-over-year, and the department's social worker, Maya Kadel, managed 53 cases in the second quarter.
