Library podcast features Willow & Birch founder Nancy Karas

Scranton Memorial Library announced Oct. 30 the release of episode 15 of its podcast Madison Memories, which features Nancy Karas, founder of the Wall Street retail shop Willow & Birch.

In the episode, host Allison Murphy interviews Karas, a former pediatric nurse at Yale who opened Willow & Birch in an antique Madison building. The store sells home goods, clothing and gifts for all occasions.

Karas, a new grandmother, recently opened a second store, Little Willow, next to Willow & Birch. The new shop offers clothing and toys for babies and toddlers. Karas is also a new member of Madison's Economic Development Commission.

The episode is available to stream on Spotify. The podcast, produced by Scranton Memorial Library, releases new episodes every Saturday morning and documents the stories and history of people who have shaped life in Madison. The library noted that a schedule of upcoming episodes is also available.
